LYNCHBURG, Va. (Feb. 13, 2006) -- N.B. Handy Company announces that it has been chosen as the exclusive distributor of the Westinghouse brand of HVAC equipment at all six of its Virginia and Maryland distribution centers.

The centers, located in Richmond, Va., Roanoke, Va., Norfolk, Va., Lynchburg, Va., Baltimore, Md., and Capitol Heights, Md. will offer a full range of sales and service for the Westinghouse brand’s extensive product line, which is manufactured by Nordyne, Inc. of St. Louis, Mo. N.B. Handy already distributes the Westinghouse in line in three of its Carolina locations, Charlotte, NC, Greensboro, NC, and Columbia, SC.

According to Sam Meeks, vice president of sales and marketing for N.B. Handy Company, Westinghouse is a premium brand with exceptional product engineering. "We're honored to be awarded the Westinghouse distributorship at these Carolina locations because we know that our customers will appreciate the quality and the range of products in the Westinghouse line," he says.

Meeks points out that Westinghouse air conditioners and heat pump efficiency ratings range from 13 to 16 SEER, among the highest in the industry. "Top efficiency combined with an excellent warranty program gives Westinghouse brand HVAC equipment an excellent reputation among contractors and customers alike," he says.

Dave Wadsworth, general manager of equipment sales for N.B. Handy Company, also welcomes the Westinghouse brand option in the Virginia & Maryland locations. He notes that the company was awarded the 2004 New Distributor of the Year from Nordyne, Inc. for its aggressive sales initiative in the mid-Atlantic and southeastern states of the Kelvinator and Gibson product lines.
