Lynchburg, Va. (June 11, 2007)--N.B. Handy held its seventh annual Vendor Performance Recognition Event May 22 - 23 in Lynchburg, Virginia, home to its corporate office. This event honored N.B. Handy’s “Preferred Vendors“ for outstanding performance in the previous calendar year. The purpose of the evaluation was to compare the performance of suppliers to N.B. Handy’s business requirements and reward excellence. Vendors were evaluated in four general categories: Delivery, Service, Pricing, and Quality.

The recipients were the top performers from N.B. Handy’s list of high volume vendors. The 9 winners for 2006 were: Berger Brothers, Broan-NuTone, Carlisle Syn-Tec, Coleman Cable, Fabral, Ideal Tape Co., Johns Manville, Royal Metal Products, and The Techs.

Five Special Awards were acknowledged at the event:

Vendor of the Year - Fabral
Most Improved Vendor - The Techs
Innovation Award - The Techs
Sales Representation Award - Scott Witherow, Design Polymerics
Top Customer Service Representative Award - Gretchen Rosenbalm, Fabral

The winners were invited to Lynchburg, Virginia for an afternoon of golf at Boonsboro Country Club, a dinner and awards presentation ceremony, and a breakfast business meeting the next day where N.B. Handy’s executive staff shared strategic objectives with the suppliers. During the meeting, the attendees were able to preview the company’s future growth strategy, sales and marketing programs, human resource development initiatives, and customer fulfillment and operational logistics enhancement projects.
