Lynchburg, Va. (July 2007)--N.B. Handy, a leading distributor of commercial roofing products, HVAC equipment and supplies, and sheet metal, recently announced the appointment of Chris Payne to the position of manager of technical services — roofing. In this position, Payne will offer analysis and support regarding the specification, design, technical and engineering responsibilities of all products sold by N.B. Handy.

As the manager of technical services — roofing, he will be the point of contact for all technical information as it relates to roofing products, providing true representation to every manufacturer N.B. Handy represents. Payne will also be responsible for maximizing N.B. Handy’s value proposition by identifying sales opportunities through design professionals.

Payne has been with N.B. Handy since 2003, most recently serving as the general manager of the company’s Greenville, SC, distribution facility. Prior to his time as general manager, Payne was also a roofing account representative with N.B. Handy and a registered professional roof consultant with an independent consulting firm. In his newest position, he will work out of N.B. Handy’s office in Alpharetta, GA.
