Lynchburg, Va. (December 10, 2007)--N.B. Handy Company of Lynchburg, Va., has announced the 2007 Dealers of the Year for its Westinghouse- and Kelvinator-brand product lines for heating and air conditioning equipment.

Chris Coleman from C & C Heating & Air Conditioning of Mt. Pleasant, SC was recognized as the 2007 Dealer of the Year for Westinghouse products in the Southern region, which includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Randall and Shane Pilkenton from R & R Heating and Cooling of Eagle Lake, FL received the award for the Kelvinator product line for the second year in a row.

The awards were presented by David Wadsworth, N.B. Handy’s HVAC Equipment Sales Manager, at the second annual Southern Region dealers’ meeting held at the Westin Savannah Harbor in Savannah, GA.

Also recognized for Outstanding Sales Performance for Westinghouse brand products in 2007 were Shipley’s Heating & Cooling out of Hendersonville, NC and Custom Cooling & Heating from Marion, NC. Kelvinator 2007 Outstanding Sales Performance awards were presented to Frank’s Air Conditioning from Kissimmee, FL and Bill’s A/C & Heating out of Minneola, FL.

Handy Vice President Sales-HVAC, Sam Meeks, the two-day meeting gave the company an opportunity to recognize and reward the outstanding efforts of its dealers, as well as educate them on new products, services and marketing strategies for 2008. N.B. Handy’s Westinghouse and Kelvinator dealers in the southern region attended the event along with their guests.

Doug Jones, Vice President of Sales for Nordyne, Inc., also recognized the dealers for their achievements in a declining residential market in 2007. Jones noted that despite a soft residential housing market, one that has adversely affected the HVAC industry as a whole, N.B. Handy’s dealers were making strong statements with their representation of the Westinghouse and Kelvinator product lines. “With the manufacturer, distributor, and dealer working together, we can all be successful, even in more challenging business climates,” said Jones.
