Lynchburg, Va. (May 14, 2008)-- N.B. Handy Company relocated its Richmond branch to a new facility on December 7, 2007. The new full service distribution center is located at 7437 Ranco Road in Richmond, Va. and includes an enhanced showroom, a customer-friendly counter service area, and an additional 14,000 sq ft. of building space.

The 52,000 sq. ft. facility has an enlarged warehouse space to help the Richmond branch increase stock of inventory and better serve their customers. “The space will help us be more effective in keeping up with the growing demand and changing needs of our customers,” said Martha Grattan, N.B. Handy general manger of the Richmond branch.

The spacious counter area will feature several product displays highlighting N.B. Handy’s expansive product offerings. “The new showroom is equipped for point of purchase, and displays, giving our sales people space to interact with our customers,” said Grattan.

In addition to a new counter area, the showroom will include a Westinghouse flat-panel video display. The display will feature N.B. Handy promotional information and educational videos from Westinghouse HVAC equipment manufacturer Nordyne, Inc. “This visual display gives us another opportunity to interact with customers and relay important product information,” said Grattan.

According to Bill Outlaw, an account representative at the Richmond location, customers have already commented on the improvements in the new facility. “Many customers have said that the new branch enhances their shopping experience, and they make sure to check the displays each time they are inside the facility,” said Outlaw.
