Location: Charlotte NC
Serves as a liaison between the branch team, outside sales, and roofing contractors. Develops, builds and maintains customer relationships over the phone as well as in-person. Responsibilities include establishing customer needs and providing information on pricing, material requests, pending orders, back-orders and status updates on delivery; following up on bid projects and keeping sales team informed; staying abreast of the market for competitive situations; advising outside sales team of any pertinent credit situations; maintaining a consistent call schedule and prospecting new accounts to determine sales opportunities; calling customers on a regular basis to increase sales; and assisting with any customer concerns including billing issues. Works closely with and support Account Managers and provides assistance as needed. Also, responsible for conducting counter sales transactions including cash sales and open account order pickups; establishes and maintains good relations with customers by providing prompt and courteous service; promotes product lines and customer programs; and ensures counter area is stocked and organized.
Success depends on the ability to create and enhance relationships with both new and existing customers. This is achievable through efforts made in locating business opportunities and developing them. The inside sales rep is a catalyst in enabling branches to service and provide contractors with all they require to become a valuable partner.
