Start your professional career by learning our business from the ground up. The Future Leaders Program is accelerated training program designed to develop candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in sales, warehouse operations or management. This program includes a variety of knowledge broadening assignments that provides exposure to all aspects of the company with emphasis on product training, wholesale distribution best practices, sales training, systems resource training, sales effectiveness process, market development plans, and operations/logistics. The training track is 18-24 months. At the end of the program, you will be promoted into a sales, operations or corporate support position.

Medical, Dental and Vision Programs
We offer comprehensive medical and dental plans to all full-time employees after 2-months of service. Cost varies depending your plan choice, but since your contribution is made on a pre-tax basis, your paycheck stays healthier too. Preventive care services are covered 100%.
Premium discounts are offered if you certify yourself as a non-tobacco user and you complete an annual physical by December 15 th each year.
Dependent children may be covered up to age 26. Anyone wishing to cover a spouse will be required to certify that he/she is not eligible for benefits through their employer or any other plan.
Programs are offered through our medical plan that are designed to encourage healthy behavior for employees to stay well, make smart choices practice preventive care. Some of the resources include Worksite Wellness, Staying Healthy Reminders, Healthy Lifestyles, 24/7 Nurseline, Future Moms just to name a few. These programs help to improve your health and save you money.
If you and your dependents are enrolled our medical plan, you are eligible to receive this benefit. Teladoc gives you 24/7 access to U.S. board-certified doctors through the convenience of phone or video consults. It’s an affordable alternative to costly urgent care and ER visits when you need care now. Consultations are FREE if you are enrolled in the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan and a minimal cost if you are enrolled in the Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP).
Benefits shouldn’t just be about the here and now. That’s why NB Handy includes retirement in its compensation package. So, years from now, when you feel like less work and more leisure, you’ll not only be ready but able.
401(k) Retirement Investment Plan
Save for retirement and save on taxes. Now that’s a true win-win. After eligibility requirements are met, you are automatically enrolled unless you opt not to participate. You can select from a wide range of investment options. NB Handy matches .50 cents for every $1 you contribute, up to 6% of your pay in pre-tax, after-tax deductions, which gives you a 50% return on your investment. Just a little extra security from us to future you. You are fully-vested after 3 years of service.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Any employee eligible for health care benefits can also enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Contribute to it on a pre-tax basis and use the account to cover out-of- pocket costs like deductibles, co-pays, even dental and vision expenses. You may also defer funds into a dependent care spending account to pay for daycare expenses that are necessary in order for you (and your spouse, if applicable) to be employed.
Health Savings Account
You can set aside money in a Health Savings Account (HSA) if you participate in a Consumer Driven Health Plan. An HSA is similar to an FSA in that you are eligible to pay for health care expenses with pre-tax dollars. There are advantages of an HSA: No “use it or lose it” rule, money carries over year to year, you may change your payroll deduction election at any time, the account is owned by you; it goes with you if you change jobs or retire, and money can be invested much like 401(k) funds.
In the event you become disabled from an injury or illness, disability income benefits could provide you peace of mind as a source of income. NB Handy provides full-time employees with short-term disability income benefits and pays the full cost of this coverage.
Employees also have the opportunity to purchase long-term disability coverage and NB Handy pays 50% of the cost.
Basic life insurance is provided to eligible full-time employees up to the plan maximum amount and NB Handy pays the full cost of this benefit. Additional life insurance is available for purchase through payroll deduction for you and your dependents.
Optional Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
AD&D insurance is available for purchase through payroll deduction for you and your dependents. Evidence of insurability is not required if enrolled during time of hire.

Paid Time Off
Take some time off. Relax and enjoy. We know you’ll come back to work refreshed and recharged. Depending on your position, average hours worked and length of employment with NB Handy, you’ll qualify to accrue leave benefits.
The company observes 8 official paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When holidays fall on Saturday, they are normally observed on Friday; when they fall on Sunday, they will normally be observed on Monday.
